Re: Increasing The Odds Of High-Quality Longevity

I read an article quite a while back about a fellow who was planning to change his medical plans at age 75. At that point, nothing which is intended to prolong life. Yes, treatment for a broken arm or for discomfort or dental stuff or whatever. But no heart bypasses, stents, no CPR, and I think eve...

Re: Ruth Bader Ginsburg

There seems to be a presumption that any vote for a SCOTUS appointee will fall strictly along party lines. Maybe it will, but if so, it is an example of the normalized deviancy of polarized partisanship, which has not historically been the case with appointees, contrary to what McConnell's nostalgi...

Well the stakes are not the same in eating an inferior sandwich vs choosing an inferior surgeon. However, is it disingenuous of me to be angry at him for his social media diatribes when a) I chose to read them, he did not send them to me and b) I only follow him because he is a CEO of a startup ban...

Re: Is Trump doing a good job?

Harry Reid lied about Mitt Romney’s taxes in the 2012 election. All it takes is an accusation and the media takes it from there. Credibility not required. The damage can’t be undone in a timely manner if at all.

Re: Biden/Harris Discussion

This article alleges that Biden is taking an anti-Alzheimer medication that has a side-effect of urinary incontinence. It says he has good days and bad days which you would expect from anyone suffering from the disease and that's why you see him only coming out on "good days". The "good days" howev...

Re: Daily "Check In" Thread For Us

Many people also use cheap WiFi routers and that will negatively impact the speeds you experience. For example, if you're just using your internet provider's WiFi router, there's a good chance you can do better. Many people are starting to use mesh WiFi systems that are not the absolute fastest but ...

Re: Is Trump doing a good job?

The media response has more to do with the fact that Trump is an outsider not from the established political class than whether he’s a Republican or Democrat. The UniParty establishment doesn’t care if you’re R or D as long as you’re willing to play their game. Trump’s not playing their game (any mo...
