Re: Why I think 2021 will be a blockbuster year for stocks
actually study after study shows that those who lack pucker factor with 100% equities over the long haul , just have lower poor investor behavior points and balanced portfolios show the same poor behavior . very few with low pucker factor look at losses in balanced portfolios as anything but losses...

Re: PP* Portfolio
Reducing cash is the easiest way to apply leverage to the PP. I think 25% cash is great for a retiree, or someone close to retirement. But for someone who is young and in accumulations I think reducing cash down to something like 1 year of expenses would probably do the trick, especially since cash ...

Re: Trump isn't a very good dictator
Does anybody here actually take SomeDude's opinion seriously? I've personally reached a point that I basically ignore anything he says. Someone can only be wrong so many times before you just stop taking their opinion seriously.

Re: Why I think 2021 will be a blockbuster year for stocks
All I know is that classic trend following guys will suffer a lot ;-) Joke apart, the common belief is that volatility is here to stay, concur with that as well. Whether it would be nasty blood-draining trendless volatility or still with bullish bias - does it really matter if one is not able to di...

Re: Texas sues to have the state legislatures appoint the electors
I will agree Time should not have made them persons of the year. Person/thing of the year should have been easy: the virus. That's exactly what I thought when I saw the Time cover! The world is ending, I'm with Corto on something (just kidding, I'm with you on a lot of stuff, just don't always say ...

Re: The New Republican Populism (personal Trump references not allowed)
I said in my post that Biden is not necessarily a far-left progressive. But, he is surrounded by those, and his VP is certainly that. So I rather expect that the progressive, far-left agenda will dominate his Presidency. I would say the opposite of his VP and those he is surrounded with. I think th...

Re: The New Republican Populism (personal Trump references not allowed)
The NRP as I've described it prioritizes policies that support the existence and health of the American middle class, and American prosperity in general. It also forswears identity politics, in which certain self-selected or racial groups are elevated to an artificially high status, whereas other g...

Re: Reconciliation
Great post and I agree on all accounts. I'm a moderate independent myself, and there are things I both like and dislike on both sides. But yeah, the echo chambers on both sides are problematic. The real answer is always somewhere in the middle. If both sides cannot meet in the middle, then the middl...

Re: Libertarians of Reddit
Yes, discovering that has refreshed my hope that reasonable voices on the "political right" still exist. Based on discussions here I was beginning to wonder whether the differences of opinion were even bridgeable....now I'm thinking maybe this gyro forum has just attracted a special type of charact...

Re: Libertarians of Reddit
I have Facebook friends who ranted about facism all throughout the Obama administration and advocate "small government", and soon as Trump gets elected they buy giant Trump flags and basically swear allegiance to the police and military and won't question anything the dear leader says or does. Argu...

Re: Libertarians of Reddit
The more I read through this thread the more I keep thinking that I could actually sit down, have a beer, and have a constructive and enjoyable political discussion with these people. They seem so much more reasonable, open minded, and free of all the alt-right tinfoil hat conspiracy theory non-sense.

I hope she doesn't really consider this. I don't think Biden would support that. Biden has been saying over and over that he wants to create an environment of "compromise" and "working across the isle". He has shown no desire to stoop to Trumps level, to try to get revenge, or even to attempt to de...

Re: Libertarians of Reddit
Republicans voters that are too embarrassed to admit they support the GOP call themselves libertarians. To be clear here, American libertarianism has always been primarily populated by right-wing authoritarians that do not want to identify as conservatives. The libertarian to alt-right pipeline exi...

Re: Texas sues to have the state legislatures appoint the electors
You don't need evidence if bullies chased out the witnesses. It’s no surprise Biden “won” in our country’s most fair and transparent election. He was Vice President under our country’s most transparent presidency. Yes i forgot he is literally the most popular human in history, 80 million legitimate...

i am more interested in the deeper ramifications of the SUPPOSED corruption and stealing of an election Fixed that for you. no thanks.. i fix my own thinking constantly, based on logic and reason.. Re: Trump and the Media
There's no denying Trump is a media genius. He knows how to get publicity. This Macro-Voices podcast just came out yesterday with an interview with ex-White House advisor Pippa Malmgren. I listened to it earlier. She basically thinks Trump is going to go the route of creating his own media conglomer...

I should clarify that I have no idea whether or not laws were actually violated; There was massive fraud Xan. Probably at least a thousand sworn statements to it, video and statistical evidence. It's not a debate unless someone has TDS. No. The lawsuit we are debating has no claim of fraud. It's st...

There are way, way, way more INTJ musicians than there are ISTJ musicians! Plus you had many musician giants! Petty! Iommi! Beethoven! Clapton! Bowie! Gilmour! Page! What a list!!! I am truly envious! I will continue to now press my case that the N is a greater predictor than the T seeing how many ...
