Re: The nastiness may have only begun
I hope she doesn't really consider this. I don't think Biden would support that. Biden has been saying over and over that he wants to create an environment of "compromise" and "working across the isle". He has shown no desire to stoop to Trumps level, to try to get revenge, or e...

Re: Libertarians of Reddit
Republicans voters that are too embarrassed to admit they support the GOP call themselves libertarians. To be clear here, American libertarianism has always been primarily populated by right-wing authoritarians that do not want to identify as conservatives. The libertarian to alt-right pipeline exi...

Re: Texas sues to have the state legislatures appoint the electors
You don't need evidence if bullies chased out the witnesses. It’s no surprise Biden “won” in our country’s most fair and transparent election. He was Vice President under our country’s most transparent presidency. Yes i forgot he is literally the most popular human in history, 80 million legitimate...

Re: Texas sues to have the state legislatures appoint the electors
i am more interested in the deeper ramifications of the SUPPOSED corruption and stealing of an election Fixed that for you. no thanks.. i fix my own thinking constantly, based on logic and reason.. If this were true you wouldn't be spouting that "corruption and stolen" election were truth...

Re: Trump and the Media
There's no denying Trump is a media genius. He knows how to get publicity. This Macro-Voices podcast just came out yesterday with an interview with ex-White House advisor Pippa Malmgren. I listened to it earlier. She basically thinks Trump is going to go the route of creating his own media conglomer...

Re: Texas sues to have the state legislatures appoint the electors
I should clarify that I have no idea whether or not laws were actually violated; There was massive fraud Xan. Probably at least a thousand sworn statements to it, video and statistical evidence. It's not a debate unless someone has TDS. No. The lawsuit we are debating has no claim of fraud. It's st...

Re: Shower thoughts: country music created the modern conservative party
There are way, way, way more INTJ musicians than there are ISTJ musicians! Plus you had many musician giants! Petty! Iommi! Beethoven! Clapton! Bowie! Gilmour! Page! What a list!!! I am truly envious! I will continue to now press my case that the N is a greater predictor than the T seeing how many ...

Re: Shower thoughts: country music created the modern conservative party
Maybe this topic should really be about how much imagining what kind of music people of a political persuasion like feeds the stereotype you have of those people. I'm a big-time music person and other than associating country music as attracting those of a certain political leaning have never other...

Re: Texas sues to have the state legislatures appoint the electors
How about a do-over? Why can't they just have the election again, but this time have more oversight and follow the prescribed rules? So in that scenario, what happens to all the dates set forth in the Constitution? The Court doesn't have the right to waive them. Do we amend the Constitution to prov...

Re: Texas sues to have the state legislatures appoint the electors
Just in the last few weeks I read a huge book written in January 2001 that did have ALL the facts in evidence regarding the Florida 2000 post-election from Election Day through the Supreme Court's ruling in mid-December 2000. Have you read anything that counters what I wrote? Vinny And those facts ...

Re: Texas sues to have the state legislatures appoint the electors
I should clarify that I have no idea whether or not laws were actually violated; I've just been responding to the assertion that it is impossible for them to have been, and/or that it is impossible for there to be any remedy if they have been. I never said it was impossible that there were violatio...

Re: Texas sues to have the state legislatures appoint the electors
I agree with you that the challenge of a statewide policy should also be statewide. On the flip side, though, our legal system is adversarial. Neither candidate is obligated to look out for the other. Right. Well we agree on something at least. And while politics is adversarial, the judgment of the...

Re: Texas sues to have the state legislatures appoint the electors
There's a difference between a voter voting illegally, and a voter that followed what the state instructed them to do to a T having their vote thrown out. This punishes the voter not the state. The voter did nothing wrong. If these were primarily Republican votes being thrown out people on this for...

Re: Texas sues to have the state legislatures appoint the electors
Republicans are all happy when democracy works in their favor. But the moment they lose, they are willing to throw it out. It shows the Republicans don't really care about the will of the people, or the election, they really only care about whether or not their guy won or lost. Whatever benefits the...

Re: Texas sues to have the state legislatures appoint the electors
Okay... What about people who turn up the day after Election Day and want to vote? They overslept, or had the wrong day, or who knows what. Is it "anti-democracy" to turn them away? There are parameters, procedures, start and end dates to voting. That's how it works. This isn't a free-for...

Re: Texas sues to have the state legislatures appoint the electors
Simplistic perhaps, but I think the Executive branches of government should enforce the laws as passed by the Legislative branches. The Judicial branches can dispense mercy if necessary. The thing is there are many ways to enforce a law. Denying the right to vote to millions is not the only solutio...
