Re: 25 x 4 or 33 x 3

Sorry! But each time I see the title of this topic I cannot help but think of this song! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uAUoz7jimg Chicago - 25 or 6 to 4 - 7/21/1970 - Tanglewood (Official) If you like this / them you should watch the video of their entire show that day. Re: Are most people here sticking with Treasuries?

I bought 30 years at 4 and then again at 3.87. I am using a new rule for myself. It’s called go halfsies. If I’m scared to buy or sell I do around half. That gets me moving. The mechanical part is easy (15/35 Bands): the emotional part can be more...ahem, problematic. Understatement of the year 🙂

Re: Mar A Lago documents

But wait, there’s more… Five more classified documents found at Biden’s Wilmington home, lawyer says Why is it White House lawyers that are finding these documents? Where’s the FBI? Are we supposed to believe that the true number and nature of these documents will ever be disclosed? Either way, I’m...

Re: Sucks to Be An I-Bond Hater

Thanks!

I’ve been thinking about soon buying half of what I plan to purchase for the year (still have to figure out how much I plan to put in)

Having that 0.4% “real” is nice — makes any new purchases better than all my existing purchases

Re: Inflation

Was expecting Vinny to recommend his peanut butter. But you just never know what he'll do Fortunately (for me) peanut butter prices have, for some reason, remained steady during all this massive food price inflation. That reminds me: I gotta pick up bread today for PB&J sandwiches. I stopped buying...

It's probably considered one of the least small / value-ie of the available offerings, but I use Vanguard Small-Cap Value Index Fund Admiral Shares (VSIAX) (the mutual fund version) Was easiest for me SCV has underperformed Large Balanced for a while; although this last year it sucked a lot less -- ...

Re: Putin Invades Ukraine II

<snip> I feel like I should clarify my positions. Putin bad. By our standards, Russia is kind of barbaric at their core. Ukraine is probably not angelic. It's a corrupt place and I feel sure that Zelinsky is skimming money during this. It's what they do. I feel very bad for the Ukrainian people. NA...

Ammunition Shortages in Ukraine

I haven’t made it to the end yet, but, looks like no one is projected to completely run out

But don’t have as much as want, and likely less sometime in 2023, but won’t have to put bayonets on the ends of Howitzers

Re: Putin Invades Ukraine II

What was Russia's precipitating event on February 24, 2022 so that its last recourse was to invade another country? What had happened the day before to cause this drastic measure? Vinny, I don't believe there was a single precipitating event as such i.e Russia retaliating after being attacked by Uk...

Glennds and vantale, I hereby invoke Godwin's law. If you're really being serious, Godwin's law is mostly aimed at the use of Hitler comparisons in the context of the Holocaust which you know is not the case here. Godwin's law itself can be applied mistakenly or abused as a distraction, diversion o...

This is a relatively short Lex. Less than an hour. There is something in this with everyone to agree with it within it. It is from three months ago. Lex reminds us that he did visit Ukraine during the war and, at some point, will be giving us a podcast regarding it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

Re: Former US Ambassador to Russia Speaks on Causes of Ukraine War

But I’m not letting Russia off the hook for saying no negotiation until NATI/US agrees that all of Ukraine is Russia. Where have you seen this demand? I haven't seen it. I read a lot of diverse sources including RT and listen to the official statements from Maria Zacharova and I've never heard this...
