Inauguration Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman

For anyone who did not catch the inauguration on Wednesday, for me the highlight was the poem The Hill We Climb, composed and read by the youth poet laureate Amanda Gorman. Besides creating an appreciation for the art and power of the words of poetry, the reading itself was stirring.
How a 22 year old young woman could possess the confidence to perform a reading like that in front of the world and within feet of four US Presidents is remarkable. I've come to learn that like Biden himself, this young woman overcame a speech impediment earlier in life.
