My mature EE bond

I received a $50 EE bond at my high school graduation that matured this month. At redemption, it was worth about $145.

Using an inflation calculator,

25 Dollars in 1981 would be worth almost 62 bucks today (seems low??). Even with my present tax rate, it still performed better than I would have expected.
