This site says the average house fire burns at 600ºC, far lower than the melting point of either metal.

Yeah, it’s lacking substance from the get-go and in a catastrophe is tantamount to thinking pleasant thoughts about gold. O0

If you are worried about this, a media-rated safe will reduce the maximum temperature significantly.

Yeah I found some fire binders on Amazon.
I don't have a safe, but I think these will do.
