Tips on home security and home storage of valuables

Post by Ad Orientem »

A private security consultant gives some good general advice on securing valuables at home and crime prevention. The gentleman is also a retired police detective from the Metropolitan Police (Scotland Yard). Some of what he says will already be understood by people who frequent this forum. (Full Disclosure: I still advocate safe deposit at a bank for storage of highly valuable stuff like bullion during normal times.)

It's not new to play around with computer systems, either. Hacking has been around for decades. But recent years have seen a surge in cybercrimes, including high-profile attacks on major corporations and government agencies. However, criminals have found ways to get around many of these security measures, and it's up to us to stay protected while we do our jobs.
