Gold Fund

Post by SmallPotatoes » Thu Jun 24, 2010 3:27 pm

Just wondering if anyone would recommend an index/mutual fund that closley tracks the price of gold. I do so object to the hassle of ETF's and really just need a proxy for rebalancing.

What's the hassle of a PM ETF?

PP rebalancing only occurs every few years unless you are adding new money.  Even then, you aren't rebalancing very often.
Q: “Do you have funny shaped balloons?”
A: “Not unless round is funny.”

I'll recant a bit: there's no inherent hassle with ETFs. I simply don't understand them thoroughly.

I do own a few paper bonds and a coin or two, a number of EDV shares, but truley, MFs are my investment vehicle of choice, which means I'll stick with PRPFX for a bit longer.
