I was wrong. It might be possible to securely store your PMs at home

I have long been opposed to home storage of anything other than small amounts of PMs. However I have just found what might be an exception...

You know what thieves will never do? Scan YOU with a metal detector! That's why I ingest my PMs for safe keeping. With the Mule Method®, you never have to worry about your safe being broken into while at work or play! Simply wrap your PMs in a digestion-proof wrapper and eat them. When the time comes to reingest your bullion cubes cylinders, change the wrapper and go, it's THAT SIMPLE! Did I say reINGEST? I mean't reINVEST: in yourself! Literally

Mule Method® Eat em, BM, PM! Can't beat it.

Call for details, Mule Method® accepts Paypall and Bitcoin.

* TSA not included, also not inclusive of beachcombers and MRI technicians.

1. Nervous poopers void guarantee.

Sometimes I wonder if an Ottoman in the middle of the living room might be a good hiding place for 100 oz silver bars.

Awesome house. Although if I was a thief I'd rob it just for the challenge. The press would be awesome. >:D

Seems odd that she gets to keep whatever was in the safe deposit boxes. You'd think those things would need to be set aside for a long period of time to see who can lay claim to them.

Interesting house, though. I like the concept, if not the execution.

Banks are not required to hold the contents of abandoned SDBs indefinitely. After a reasonable period of time, usually not less than 90 days, and honest efforts to contact the box holders, they can be regarded as abandoned property. Who knows how long the building was on the market before being bought.

Of course it’s possible, Ad, you just download them to a- oh, Precious Metals, right.
That is a pretty cool living space.
I think I’d rather move into an Arby’s so my wife and I can tell our friends “We have the meats”, but I do love that vault!

Remember the film ‘Training Day’ in which — SPOILER ALERT — the drug dealer hid his money under floorboards that had to be physically torn up, not just lifted? That idea has always appealed to me except that, you know, Denzel did tear them up and shot the guy in the stomach.

Don’t even tell your close friends about your hiding places.

For homeowners, I've always thought a good place to hide rarely-accessed valuables is in a box buried under the insulation in the attic. Even metal detectors wouldn't really help because of all the nails, wiring, and lighting fixtures already there. If you didn't already know what you were looking for, I can't imagine most thieves would ever think of wasting time digging through fiberglass.

That's a good one!

But I cry tears every night because of that damned loss of cargo accident while sailing over the Laurentian Abyssal...

I have not. But I have only started acquiring silver in any quantity within the last few weeks. Until then I was only buying gold. Also I am very careful about handling silver. If I am not wearing gloves I only touch rounds on the edges and I have not taken the bars out of their plastic wrap.

I plan to get cotton gloves as well.
Besides tarnishing the metal, I don’t want to get argyria and end up looking like a smurf. O0
(I know, that won’t happen)

This guy at my workplace uses colloidal silver as a home remedy... he's going full Smurf someday.

He's so into silver he refuses to do the 401(k) even to get the match.
