Joe Biden fans?

Post by vnatale » Thu Oct 17, 2019 11:19 pm

I'm definitely read a lot here regarding Trump. Don't remember reading anything regarding Joe Biden. Are there any Joe Biden fans here?

I don't dislike him; I assume you have an opinion since you asked; what do you think about Biden?

I detest him. When Obama was considering a vice president, I was ABB - anyone but Biden.

I could vote for any of the existing Democratic candidates except for him and Bernie. If it came down to either of them against Trump, I'd be a third party voter.

Every person is a mosaic of good and bad. Two things that I REALLY don't like about Biden, however:

1) He not only did not support Snowden, but actively tried to thwart his attempts at asylum.

2) He's super creepy.

He's a likable fellow as many people seem to agree and this might very well win him the presidency but if you look at his record you can see that he has a very strained relationship with the truth.

If you aren't old enough to remember the first time he ran for president he had to drop out because of a speech he gave that was plagiarized. You could probably forgive that if the speech merely reflected his ideas but it was about growing up as a coal miner's son and the fact that he would tell it as his own story apparently struck too many people as evidence of extreme pathology.

He still tells the story about how his son was killed by a drunk trunk driver when in fact the driver of the truck was not only not drunk and was not even at fault in the incident. The truck driver's family has filed a lawsuit for defamation of character. Not sure what became of it or if is even still pending but he still tells the same story to this day.

So, of course, we should believe when he talks about his son.

If you think Donald Trump is a bold-faced liar which some people here do and I will have to admit that he at least exaggerates and spins the truth in his favor on a non-stop basis. So if it comes down to Trump vs Biden, you'll have to pick which liar you like the best.

One of my reasons was your #2. I was not aware of #1.

But I've been against him since he was the chair of the judiciary in the Thomas hearings. And, due to his cowardly actions during that it resulted in Thomas going on the Supreme Court. I have never forgiven him for that and believed that if he had an ounce of integrity he would have forever taken himself out of public life.

I'll add to my prior comments regarding him as I have NEVER found him likable.

1) His speech patterns wherein he is constantly repeating a word, phrase, sentence. Like we, his audience, are all kindergarteners!

2) The first time ever heard of him was over that plagerism. That was never, though, a major factor with me.

3) I just recently found out him being totally inaccurate regarding that driver. Just another example of his lack of integrity.

4) Finally, he and Bernie have to both be severely delusional that either of them at their ages can successfully be the president of the most powerful country in the world. This is a real job. Not one where you just run around giving speeches when you feel like it. They both show no integrity when they each believe that they are better than all else in the world to be our president.

How many of those you did watch those Thomas hearings? I think I saw it all.

How many of you noticed whereby Biden revealed his cave man attitude towards women? He was clearly a male who thought you talked one way about women in public but when in private (like a locker room)...….that played out in the disgraceful way he handled Anita Hill and anyone else who wanted to testify. As I stated below, he just took the coward's way out.

I was also unaware of his work against Snowden; that's pretty disqualifying in my book.

I watched most of the Thomas hearings and learned all about the pubic hairs comment which Anita Hill said he made to her in the break room at work.

And though it wasn't clearly established, some evidence was introduced that he may have rented pornographic movies at an adult book store (which I don't give a shit about - too bad there was no internet back then).

Pales in comparison now to the allegations of spiked punch to rape women along with his friend that were raised against Kavanaugh.

Howard Metzenberg, whom you may have never heard of but was was my Senator in Ohio at the time, was the most obnoxious member in that fiasco. Biden portrayed himself as being above board during the whole thing but if other senators are to believed he expressed to them that he didn't believe Hill's testimony at the time even though he went through with airing the allegations before the whole country.

Pretty sleazy character in my book but quite the typical politician. We could probably do better in electing presidents but it is what it is. At least we have Donald Trump now promising to drain the swamp.

That doesn't mean he has any fans (short for "fanatics").
What he has is people who think he is the best bet to beat Trump.
They don't care about him other than that.

Hunter Biden is having a bad couple months. Or, alternatively, congratulations to Hunter Biden on his new son!
On Tuesday, an Arkansas judge ordered Hunter Biden, the youngest son of former Vice President Joe Biden, to appear in court and explain why he should not be held in contempt for violating numerous court orders to provide financial information in his Arkansas paternity case.

In the case, Lunden Alexis Roberts, a former Washington, D.C., stripper, has reportedly been awarded full custody and is seeking child support after a November DNA test confirmed that Roberts' son — born in August 2018 — was indeed Hunter Biden's child. Biden has refused to hand over financial records, despite a December 6 order to do so, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported. He missed deadlines on December 12 and December 19, and most recently on January 16.

Joe Biden, during the Clarence Thomas hearings, revealed himself to have a caveman attitude towards women. Therefore, it's not surprising his son behaves similarly.

"Lying, dog-faced pony soldier" is the best insult I've heard since Charlie Sheen called Jagger and Sinatra "droopy-eyed armless children."

I'm not a "fan" of any Democrat. But Trump is a malicious imbecile with with the nuclear launch codes. I am pondering things I would have once considered unthinkable.

I am considering voting for a Democrat, provided they are not a lunatic. That however, is a pretty short list. Both Bloomberg and Biden are wrong on most of the issues I care about. But they are not nuts or morally bankrupt. And I am reliably informed they can read and write. As for the others... I will likely stay home again.
