This might be the simplest no-sew DIY coronavirus mask

Not bad. I like this one. All you need are a couple of rubber bands. May have been posted.

I got some compliments on the shemagh today. Recommended.
Is it hard to keep on, or rather, hard to tie so it stays fastened? I think it looks cooler than a gaiter, but a gaiter is so easy.
We went out today in surgical type masks. If I talked a little, my mask started to sink down my nose. Kind of defeats the purpose if I have to touch it with my hand and keep adjusting it. I’m sure my wife appreciated me shutting up, though.

I also ran into the problem of my homemade cloth mask gradually sliding down my nose when I talked.

Another problem is that my glasses fog up with every breath. When I went grocery shopping yesterday, I had to take off my glasses and squint my way through the store in order to see anything.

I had reasonable success with a bandanna. I did get a few strange looks, maybe it was the cowboy hat and shotgun accouterments. :o
DNA has its own language (code), and language requires intelligence. There is no known mechanism by which matter can give birth to information, let alone language. It is unreasonable to believe the world could have happened by chance.

Ah, yes. My neighbor mentioned her glasses fogging up.

That looks fairly simple. Thanks!

Those are amazing. It takes a lot of balls to wear a KKK hood frontways like that.

LOL, those pics are amazing.

My wife was joking yesterday that she should make a mask using a cup from one of her old bras.

Thank you Pugchief, I needed the laugh!

We ended up with the mandatory mask thing here. I used a bandanna. You either have to crush your nose or keep pulling it up every few seconds, so I ended up fastening it on top with a hair clip. That worked well.

I really don't think it makes any sense if you're outside, but ok...could see the point about reducing viral load if you're in, say, a grocery store with people around. Definitely it helps if you are the one spreading the germs.

I see some people walking around with N95 masks. That really ticks me off.

There was a girl riding her bike up and down the street today wearing an N95 mask. :-X

In some cases, maybe those N95 masks are used or the material is slightly expired, so hospitals can't accept them as donations but the owners can still wear them?

For example, Scott Adams wore an N95 mask on his live stream the other day for a "coronavirus ventriloquist" bit, and he said the reason he didn't donate the mask is because he used it before and it's old (he doesn't know exactly how old).

Honest question since I have very little experience with masks: Other than the boxed "N95" printed on the outside of the mask, is there another obvious way to tell at a glance that the mask is N95 and not some other variety?

I'm basically trying to figure out if I can spot someone wearing an N95 mask a block away, or half a block away, etc., or do I basically have to be standing close enough to read the "N95" printed on the mask?

Oh, I guess I don't know much about them. They're all wearing ones like this:

Are there non-N95 masks that look like that? I have no clue. Again, I'm just wrapping some cloth around my face like an absolute prole.

I do find the mask-wearing skills of our political leaders pretty amusing.

Chair of the congressional coronavirus taskforce, Sheila Jackson Lee.

Senate minority leader, Chuck Schumer.

And no, they are not photoshopped. :o

I’m totally stuck in this CATCH-22. We have N95 masks that my ex bought for SARS, so they’re 18 years old. I can’t donate them, because they’ve been sitting in the basement and I don’t want a health care worker to have a defective mask.

At the same time, I can’t be seen wearing one, because it’ll piss people off! Maybe I should get some scrubs to wear at the same time. (i won’t)

Maybe just cover your N95 masks with cloth on the outside to hide the print?

Every time I see someone with a beard in a mask ,it makes me think of a 1970’s women’s underwear advertisement. Ha ha ha
