If one were going to make a permabear investment portfolio, what would it consist of? Obviously gold. Maybe Swiss Francs. Any other safe haven currencies? I know Libertarian666 does something along the lines of 66% gold, 17% cash and 17 Swiss Annuity. Any other ideas for such a portfolio?

Look no further than the Ron Paul portfolio.

The WSJ asked William Bernstein, an investment manager at Efficient Portfolio Advisors, to review the portfolio. He said the following, and he wasn't kidding:

"This portfolio is a half-step away from a cellar-full of canned goods and nine-millimeter rounds."
I love it. I'm always curious about the long-term performance of unusual allocations.

Good, except 9 mm is too wimpy. You need .357 or .45 if you want to make sure the results are as desired.
