During her and Bernie's primary campaigns, the threshold eventually dropped to $50 million. Now it's down to $30 million. I had guessed that the threshold will ultimately settle somewhere between $2 and 10 million, meaning it will snag quite a number of not spectacularly wealthy people who initially thought they were safe.

It's definitely bewildering, there seem to be so many wrong aspects to this, but nobody seems to give a shit. He seems to be comfortable holding press releases and tweeting about it. To extend your thought, it's kind of mind bending to think of each party being in reality exactly what they accuse the other one of being, and each politician being exactly what they accuse their counterpart of being. Like if BLM were a terrorist group and the KKK are really just fighting for civil rights.
It would actually make a good SNL skit or like one of those movies where the characters change places.
