The "Jonny Williams" mentioned in Gilligan's Island credits is none other than famous composer John Williams. I can't remember if he did the theme or the fun music that happens during the show.

Wow - Did not know about the Jonny Williams reference - As a GI fan that's a nice tidbit of trivia; reruns played 24/7 back in the day.

I remember when it seemed like every 401K had the Bill Gross managed bond fund (PIMCO Total Return Fund) as one of the options. Everyone hung on every word Gross had to say about the markets ....

Seriously. When it comes to manager risk, with Bill Gross that includes the risk of him coming to your house and pelting you with coconut cream pies.

Bill Gross was a smart guy when it came to investing, especially in bonds. But I have heard stories over the years that suggested that, like some other famous people, he had an abrasive personality. Not saying he was Steve Jobs kinda bad. But he was not always the easiest person to work with or for.
