For you, Vin O0 https://youtu.be/PBAl9cchQac
I happen to love the song.

Thanks for the nod....however, for me, anything Genesis, including all its offshoots, e.g., Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins....is all bad music. Doesn't mean my music taste gets in the way of your enjoyment of their music.

I’ll try to pick up the pieces and move on.

Average White Band - Pick up the pieces

Raaacist name for a band. Even if they are only average.

The Average White Band (also known as AWB) are a Scottish funk and R&B band that had a series of soul and disco hits between 1974 and 1980. They are best known for their million-selling instrumental track "Pick Up the Pieces", and their albums AWB and Cut the Cake. The band name was initially proposed by Bonnie Bramlett.

I will bet that not all the members of the band below were white!

Vinny

I guess if they were good instead of average, they wouldn't need to keep swapping out members until they found something that worked. :D

Also, they prob would have had more than one hit.

CUT THE CAKE / AVERAGE WHITE BAND

Also, that is a fairly short list for a band of that longevity and that size of band.

Civil service life was adapted as far as possible to the habits of the Oxford and Cambridge graduates entering the Administrative Section. Late rising in the mornings was safeguarded by starting work at 11:00am. The day ended at 5:00pm with one hour's break for lunch. There were two month's holiday a year, plus bank holidays and of course Derby Day. Saturday hours were from 11-1.

Eli5 is jargon.
For those of you who are non-redditors, it means Explain Like I’m 5 Years Old on reddit.
