This could have gone in either the dog or cat Topic but I had to pick one....
Just picked up this book to read:
https://smile.amazon.com/Our-Wild-Calli ... l_huc_item
Back cover review states: "Reconnecting with animals is a remedy for much of what ails modern life, including loneliness and boredom."

Took a stray to the vet to see if she needs to be spayed, $100 for vaccines and exam and they couldnt tell. Is that right?

Perhaps you need to vet the vet and see if they are a vet, er, an, .... next time.

If the vet has a notch in her ear, that means she has a real degree.

Now that I go back and look at it, DEFINITELY!
Look at big those blacks are!
Earlier today I was holding my beloved Mink and she was just luxuriating in it. I then noticed that her blacks were the tiniest slits that they could be. She could not possibly have been any more content and relaxed.

Pupils, yes.
Speaking of cat eyes, I think I need to take mine to the vet. Darn. She looks uncomfortable.
I was dead set against going outside as we lead up to The Peak of coronavirus.
I’ll do anything for this cat.

Smith, there’s a cat that looks like yours on Instagram, and with the same name. But she doesn’t have the beauty mark!

And the same name! I love it.
No beauty mark means she's just slightly less cute haha.

Contributing a kitty photo. This is Charlie, whose main goal in life is to invent new ways to lounge and look gorgeous. And to get his mama to play with him on demand.

Have you read this book?
The Lion in the Living Room: How House Cats Tamed Us and Took Over the World
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/294 ... iving-room
One of the funny moments in the book is early on when the author tells us that just view us as these abnormally large creatures who happen to be sharing their living space with them!

After seeing several stories about how wildlife is reclaiming cities that have been stilled by quarantine, I'm very concerned about my town. With the amount of feral cats pre-shutdown, I can see them commanding large sections of turf when people emerge from their homes.
I imagine a fight tougher than Stalingrad to displace them. I'm not sure we'll have enough ammo. I ask for your prayers in the upcoming struggle.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I still have no idea what creature is coming into my garage to eat the old, old, old ferret food I put in a bowl. Did not want it to go to waste and glad its turning into value for some creature. Every few days I refill the bowl.

My neighbor does the same. I remember hearing a screeching noise, looking out the window, and seeing the recipient of her good will thanking her very loudly, with upraised hair and fangs out, between her and her car she was trying to get to.

I shouldn’t put this in the same post as Charlie, but as a teenager I saw this B-movie called Corpsegrinders. It was mostly about how cats accidentally got a taste of human flesh and then were instantly crazy for more. Some news reports of attacks by feral cats are not that different from select scenes.

Cats can infect each other with coronavirus, Chinese study finds. The case for exterminating the ferals intensifies.
