You are someone who has built a tremendous business. It represents your entire net worth. You want to still own it but you want to step away from the day-to-day work. You need a president to handle that aspect of the business for you. Remember if this business fails, there goes your entire net worth. The above described person is someone you'd hire to run your business with all your personal stakes at risk??!!

This is on top of my continual maintaining that Trump possesses not one of the 40 character virtues which on itself eliminates him for being qualified to be our president!

The issue is not Trump hating (which I am not doing).

The issue is do you support this means justify the ends? That is, no matter how terrible a person Trump may be...if he delivers the goods...that is all that matters?

Any deeper ramifications are totally dependent upon the premise that there actually WAS "corruption and stealing of an election"....a concept not yet supported anywhere in our legal system, by prominent Republicans, or even Trump's current "I'll do whatever you need" attorney general.

You constantly fail to realize how hated Donald Trump is by a large part of this country. My parents are lifelong Republicans and literally lost friendships over his presidency. My dad (normally very diplomatic by nature) could not have a conversation about Trump without exploding into rage. I have never voted in an election until now and only voted to do so against Donald Trump. I am but one person of millions who felt this way.

I know I'll never be able to say anything to convince you otherwise. It's you who chooses to carry that burden though that you were cheated by refusing to recognize reality. The fact is your man lost.

I should add, if the Republican party doesn't grow a pair and stand up to Trump over this nonsense they are going to end up hurting themselves in future elections. Right now, I despise their spineless party and unless I see some leadership to change my mind will vote against them in future upcoming elections...probably against my own better interests and purely out of spite.

I'm not gonna lie. I've always been a centrist independent. But up until 2016 I tended to vote R more than D. When Trump came along that totally flipped. I look at what the public perception of Republican/conservatives is these days... and yeah I want no part of that. That is not for me. The image that Trump has brought on the Republican Party is not an attractive one. It's taken all the worst most deplorable qualities of the extremist alt-right and not only brought them front and center, but the people started wearing these things around like badges. The public support of white supremacist groups, the waving of the confederate flag, the big, loud, obnoxious oversized trucks with "Trump 2020 Fuck Your Feelings" flags driving all around town, the extremely brash social media presence, the wearing assault rifles in public like it's a fashion accessory, etc. I mean I can't help but facepalm anytime I see a picture of a fat overweight old dude wearing American flag attire with an AR-15 draped over his shoulder. I just see this image and what these people stand for and I know I don't want anything to do with it.

We are far from the only ones that feel this way. This election was not so much an election that Biden won, it was an election that Trump lost. You put basically any moderate Democrat against Trump and they win. The only way Trump would have won this year is if a progressive like Bernie won the nomination. Against Bernie, Trump's strategy to brand his opponent as a devil spawn socialist would have been much more effective. It was a stupid tactic against Biden, because Biden is not a socialist and most people were intelligent enough to know this.
