This time it was an Apple Support scam. I haven’t fully debriefed them yet.

Alright, for my next trip: New York or Las Vegas? Which one, and why?

Definitely New York City. Las Vegas has a singular focus while New York City is multi-faceted.

Re: Daily "Check In" Thread For Us
Hahahaha. Is that because New York is sort of known as an unpleasant city? From what I understand, there are some parts of town and some people that are rather unpleasant. I often imagine that Hong Kong was sort of the New York of Asia, and there were definitely some areas in the city I found.. less than desirable.

Good point. The place I'd love to visit the most is the New York Stock Exchange.
Also, the pizza of course lol!

Re: Daily "Check In" Thread For Us
I was in Las Vegas for one night. Spent little time doing what most people do there. My main task was making contact with my cousin who at the time was a black dealer at one of the casino's and then when he was done with work going to his house to meet his family.
That cousin was hired to consult in the movie Casino and they liked him so much they put him in the movie. He appeared in the opening scenes and then was later one of the managers murdered in the movie.

Casino, yes, but this is not the plot of the ‘My Cousin Vinny’ that remember.
@Smithers: yes, unpleasant!

Re: Mountaineer’s question
I saw someone’s screenname here or elsewhere, “twin beams” and I liked it. I decided to have dual something, but it began with a kind of clumsy anagram/assortment of initials: dow for stocks; au for gold; l for long term bonds; st for short term bonds.
I like anagrams, which is why I realized that Craigr’s ‘Crawling Road’ podcast was an anagram of his full name.

You did have a prior explanation, but it was not as clearly understandable as this one is.

I mainly remember saying I don’t like the sound of it and have always wanted to change it.
Chosen too hastily.

I wanted to share something I found with you guys. This is a great list from Michael Saylor regarding his rules for life. I find this list very practical, and much less convoluted than the 12 rules (and eventually 24) that Jordan Peterson espouses.

Size of your residence
Question for you guys.
How big is your residence? How many people live there? And is the ratio of square footage to people comfortable?

900 square foot with full basement underneath and 500 square foot garage. So 2,400 square feet for one person. I have just about every square foot (over) crammed with things.

I will have you know that the big guy himself, The Rock, used to eat a Snickers every day before training!

And honestly I only bought that Snickers bar because I just happened to watch that particular episode of Seinfeld.

Ha! Now that I have Comedy Central (that’s a U.S. cable TV thing), I’m revisiting some Seinfeld.

My impression, also. That there could be a diet improvement! But we each lead our own imperfect lives.
