Ok, that to me sounds disgusting, but now I have to try it to see if it works.

Just finished it.

Am totally full. Could not eat a bit of anything.

And, it was absolutely DECLICIOUS!

However, I must caution you. If your palate has been conditioned by traditional American foods and all their ingredients ... you may well not like it.

Several years ago I added stevia and cocoa powder to plain yogurt and I thought it was the greatest thing ever. However, that opinion was not shared by my friend's two sons after I heartily recommended it to her.

The apples are non-cane sugar .. natural sugar.

Now I will go off to make my only meal of the day.

Heaping tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder

A lot of peanut butter

2 packets of Stevia

A banana

A can of unsweetened pineapple

Water

Mix extremely well

Quick to put together. A lot of food to eat, and quite satiating
Where's the beef? That is your meal everyday?

VitaMix shreds. My old girlfriend’s family had one. Amazing machines.

The days when I've run out of my prepared VitaMix blends and don't want to spend any time preparing any food to eat.

Great for keeping your weight down.

Was at 139 pounds today which was actually 3 pounds up from the 136 yesterday because in addition to that "meal" I'd earlier eaten two huge slices of expensive pizza.

Bought my first one in 1985. Used it a fair amount.

Bought my second one in 2013. Never used it.

Bought another one in 2015 even though the other one was sitting unused in a box.

Actually used that one but only once a year. But in the past year or so have been using it every week or so.

Make two blends each time I use it. Each of the two blends is eight 24 ounce jars of blend. So 16 in total. Get it all made in less than 1.5 hours and I have two meals a day from it for over a week.

Gave the unused 2013 to a friend and she uses it at least once a day if not multiple times a day. Food preparation is far more enjoyable for her than me.

Ok folks...convince me that (on Amazon) a $28.55 16oz jar of Teddie peanut butter is THAT good.

I can get 12 16.3 oz jars of Skippy Super Chunk for $31.44 (on Amazon)

12x better???

No, not that good!

Probably a tie, if not better in taste than Teddies (but I am lazy...) is blending these Costco peanuts to whatever consistency you'd like. Just too much of a pain cleaning the blender after.

Sounds like that is just an Amazon price predator.

My grocery store has a peanut butter maker that you can go and put peanuts in (available nearby). It grinds them up into peanut butter and puts it in a container that you go and pay for at checkout. Do you guys not have something like that?

1) I am sure that the Skippy Super Chunk (like just about all other non-health food peanut butter) is absolutely laded with sugar (and other ingredients besides just peanuts).

2) I just went to Stop & Shop and made my usual stop in the peanut butter aisle to see if I should be buying any more Teddie peanut butter on sale.

No, it was at its regular price of $4.19. Which made me feel good that the last times I'd been there I'd cleared all the shelves of the two for $6 sales, making an instant return of $1.19 per jar.

So like coffee? Never heard of it. What is your grocery store? What is its range?

This is mine:

"The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company, known as Stop & Shop, is a regional chain of supermarkets located in the northeastern United States. From its beginnings in 1892 as a small grocery store, it has grown to include 415 stores chain-wide.[4]"

As I stated earlier .... the Walmart price is excellent .... comparable to me buying the 16 ounce 2 for $6 on sale. Except that Walmart does not seem to offer the No Salt variety.

The ones by me already have peanuts in the machine, and I have bought some already packaged which was perfectly fine, but you can't put your own peanuts in and it's impossible to know how long the peanuts have been sitting there.

I would put some sesame in there for a peanut butter-tahini mix. Mmm.

And of course the other Texas institution of tastiness…Whataburger!

True story, the Mrs. and I had joked for 4-5 years about flying to a city that had a Whataburger. Last fall about this time I noticed some round trip tickets for $99 and bought them. Short flight, got there for breakfast and also ate lunch and dinner there (overkill) and flew home. The district manager was there and asking the customers about the food, service, etc and I told him we had flown down just to hang out and eat Whataburger food. We were treated like royalty the rest of the day, comped all meals and loaded up with a bunch of Whataburger swag when we left to fly home.

Don’t think we would do it again but it was a fun day.
