That only applies to earned income.  Retirees and others would be shit out of luck paying that extremely regressive 17% sales tax.  What do you do when you can't afford to buy cat food to eat because of the 17% sales tax?

The flat tax on a postcard return is a much better solution.

Eliminating the payrolll tax would be good too.
