All that is business as usual.  Killing a protected lion for fun and profit is not.  People at least have the power to do something about it as opposed to the business as usual.  I'm glad the dentist is in fear for his life and had to shut down his business.  Ostracism is an extremely powerful social pressure tool, if practiced.
