Hi Smithy,
Just walked up to the top of this peak yesterday. Great view!

Been up to anything interesting?
My mom visited me this week! It was really a great time as I took her to West Edmonton Mall (the largest mall in Canada), my favourite restaurants, and some awesome theatre.

It's a good thing she got here early enough to avoid the snow.
Snow???!!!

I'm not liking that we are going to have to be playing softball games today in the high 40s, late 50s.

I wonder if Harry Browne appears in any films. A cursory glance at IMDB didn’t turn up anything, but maybe he was in a clip when he was running for office.

What is the date of this? When I go to his X page I'm not seeing this. He has few tweets which are many days spaced apart.

Right below the image.

What was the exam for?

As I think I put here ... over 20 years ago I took the two A+ certification exams. I studied for a year, preparing well. I was shocked when it only took a total of about 2.5 minutes per exam. I did not get any kind of score. Only both tests stopping in the middle of me taking them and telling me I'd passed.

Voted Democrat for president / congress. Could not vote for Warren or Republican for Senator so no vote.

All the other votes were one person races, all Democrats.

On principal I almost never vote in those. That was the case this time. So, only two votes plus voting for the 5 ballot questions.

Also, my only hold up was waiting for the person before me to be given a ballot.

A friend was the person checking me and giving me the ballot. Here I just have to give my name and street address. They find you and check you off.

I've never once encountered any form of wait or line.

Not today since you writing those words are the first time I have ever heard of this?

https://bsky.app/

And, did you mean "moving"? Moving has a connotation of leaving one place to go to another as opposed to adding another place to visit or be a part of.

With the limited search I just did and having other things ahead of me now right now to get done ... I did not quickly pick up what is the purpose or essence of BlueSky.

I seem to remember seeing somewhere that liberals/progressives got disillusioned with X (Musk since he got friendly with President Elect Trump) and BlueSky is the liberal go-to to replace X. I think it said it's mainly made up of Democrats at this point. I may not have remembered this correctly though.

^ this ^ Thanks, M.
I’m staying on X myself. I can read most everyone there, and wouldn’t want to leave.

From my point of view ... for how I use X .. which not that infrequently has been a lot ... it's not changed at all for me.

In sports and many other arena's of lie if it is still the place to be to make announcements reaching the widest audience. It has a huge installed base and it's going to be difficult to dislodge them and go elsewhere. I will definitely not leave it and don't need to add yet another version of social media.
