I get it. Listen, I think Biden's gaffes can be funny too. I just wasn't sure how deeply others feel his alleged dementia runs.

Now if he gets inaugurated and then appoints Beau his chief of staff, I think we all have cause for concern.

For what it’s worth, my own father has regularly called me by my brother’s name (and vice versa) since he was in his 40s. Sometimes he even introduces us to other people by the swapped names.

There are two of us really old guys who regularly play basketball. We look nothing alike. The majority of the players are 25 or younger. Many times some of them will call me the other old guy's name. After Clyburn gave his (weighty) endorsement to Biden that led to Biden winning South Carolina and creating enough momentum so that no one else could keep up with him. I believe that absent that endorsement Biden would NOT have won the primaries. It's too conjectural for me to say who would have then won because it would have been a whole different set of dynamics. I would have enthusiastically voted for one of the 5-10 other primary candidates if that person had been the final candidate.

Okay, whatever. But Warren was awful. Bernie was awful. DeBlasio beyond awful. Booker and Klobuchar: Meh.

Mayor Pete maybe a bit less bad and Tulsi semi-tolerable but still not great.

I would have never voted for Warren or Bernie. That were not in my 5-10. My top four were: Amy K, Pete B, Tulsi G, and Andrew Y. Of the others you mentioned Booker would have been acceptable. ALL far superior to Biden in so many ways.

When I revealed on Facebook that for the first time since I started voting in 1972 that I was NOT voting for the Democratic presidential candidate and was, instead, writing in Tulsi H, I was accused of being a horrible person and voting for Trump!

I'd not equate "really good" and "awesome" as being equivalent. I would have been quite happy to have had any of my top four. All seemed serious, hard working, intelligent. Able to handle the job.

You left out that she is a veteran who knows the reality of war and would, therefore, be slow, slow, slow to bring our country into any more of them.

At the debates she was not shy at putting the other candidates on the spot. Displayed a tough mind.

Again, as a prodigious C-Span watcher, I did not just see 1/2 minute clips of her. I'd see her entire talk in front of a group. Then I'd see the following 30-60 minutes while she was talking to people on a one-on-one basis.

Raise minimum wage to $15 -- Disagree
Mandatory PAID family leave -- Disagree
Open to reparations (my family immigrated after slavery ended) -- Disagree
Free college (do those that already paid get a refund?) -- Need more details. I could go free for state schools, making satisfactory progress and means tested. Nothing for private schools.

Anti nuclear power. -- There was one going to put up a mile behind my house. How many of you would live within a mile of one? If safe, why do our homeowners policies not offer coverage in case of a nuclear accident?
