Ice cream.
The more milk fat the better.

I don't want any of the "frozen dairy dessert" with almost no milk fat. It is a creation of milk fat inflation.

Vanilla ice cream.
Pears.
Maple syrup.
Pistachios.
Semi-sweet chocolate chips out of the bag.
Rice pudding.

This is generally my last meal / "dessert" of the day.

Ate it about 11:30 PM last night.

1) tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder
2) 1/4 can of chopped unsweetened pineapple
3) 1/4 cup of rolled oats (not the instant ones)
4) raisins
5) several heaping tablespoons of pure super chunky peanut butter (no salt / no sugar / just peanuts)
6) some tap water

Mix up extremely well just using a spoon.

Eat it almost every night and look forward to it each time and tastes delicious each time.

Hobnobs are awesome. I have a bag like once every two years. The wife buys chocolate chip cookies which I find hard to resist.

Real butter cookies are great too.

I don't want any of those inflation adjusted vegetable oil cookies.

tomfoolery wrote: Sun Mar 21, 2021 7:42 pm The thread on CPI inflation has triggered my sweet tooth. I forgot how much I love tapioca pudding. Not only is the consistency of pudding an enjoyable experience, but the flavor of tapioca can’t be matched in any other dessert. Chocolate can come in literally any dessert, vanilla almost any dessert. Tapioca? Pudding or bust.

I can single handedly eat an entire carton of tapioca pudding if I’m not careful so I have avoiding buying any for years. But life is too short. I’ll be hitting up Wal Mart tonight to see what kind they have.

What are your favorite desserts?
Jello heat and serve tapioca is the best.

If that's really what you think, some time in your life, you should treat yourself to Thai coconut tapioca as it is served in Thailand, garnished with fresh mango.

It involves boiling tapioca pearls, not hard to do. Or go to a good Thai restaurant and they'll hook you up.

It will not come in a pretty box brought to you by the American Industrial Food Complex. Or a plastic tub filled with mystery sugar sludge.

I have tried many recipes, and bought boxes of pearls to make my own. I just can never replicate whatever those food science devils can do in terms of taste!

Thai pumpkin custard is pretty awesome too.
