I have 403b and 457b deferrals. The NON W-2 wages worksheet only allows a maximum of $30,500 (for someone over 50). But the deferral amount for both of these is 61000. I do not know if I can just change the number in line C to 61000.

Here is what AI is telling me (caveat it told me something different yesterday).

You can manually modify Line C on the Worksheet for Wages Not on a W-2 (Elective Deferrals) if your total elective deferral limit is higher than what the HR Block software prefilled — but you need to do it carefully so the math still matches IRS rules. <-- IE 30,500 for 403b and 30,500 457b for over 50. Total 61000.

what to Enter on Line C - Age 50 or older $30,500 + $30,500 = $61,000

So yes — it’s perfectly fine to modify Line C to $46 k or $61 k (total 403(b) + 457(b) limit), provided your entries match your actual deferrals and documentation.

Attempting to verify this. And also talking to HR Block.

Also for context. Yesterday it said you should make another copy of the NON W-2 Wages worksheet so you have a work sheet for the 403b and a worksheet for the 457b. But...HR Block taxcut has no way of adding a worksheet.
