I don't mean to depress everyone on a Monday morning, but it seems like there are a number of fat tail events hitting simultaneously that could cause a lot of pain:

Also, the numbers out of Asia and Japan are depressing; I believe they indicate that global manufacturing is slowing down in anticipation of a lack of demand from the rest of the world for manufactured products. This could be 2008 all over again.

About a -10% loss for the PP for about 5 months if the past is a guild. Flat PP returns over 12 months. Plus a lot of hysteria on TV.
I've been desensitized by all the doomers on the internet and I have no perspective any more on whether something is terrifying or just more noise.
Whatever happens, the sun will rise and my dog will want to go for a walk.

Best quote ever. Just made that my signature. (Hope you don't mind!)

I was gonna comment on that but you beat me to it Gumby. Great quote. In the end, the world does keep on turning regardless of what happens in the financial markets.

The human spirit is much greater than all the forces combined.
That's why we have been in existence for the last 5,000 years.
