In France, we are not allowed anymore to send precious metals

There's a new law in France that has been put into application : the postal services shall not be used anymore to send precious metals, especially gold & silver bullions.
There is no real justification for that and the law is not well known yet (many professional bullion dealers do not seem to have heard of it) but that will certainly slow down the precious metals market in France. Sure, one can occasionally send some gold and hope it won't be found, but professional cannot work like that. I think a lot of dealers will lose their job.
It may seem paradoxical but I think that is one more good reason to invest into physical gold. When your government tries to stop you from buying gold, even when that is not explicit, you really must have some and you should really possess it.
