Alternative Funds- Urgent Request, Any Opinions?

I am in the process of helping my father in law out with his retirement portfolio.  He is not currently invested in a Permanent Portfolio and I am trying top convince him to anchor his portfolio with a PP strategy.  My concern is that I think it will be a MAJOR challenge for me to convince him to go 100% in a PP so I would appreciate anyone's comments on using the following funds?  Thanks

1)  Meb Faber's new ETF "GTAA"
2)  Vanguard Wellesley or Wellington?
3)  Pimco All Asset All Authority
4)  Pimco Unconstrained Bond
5)  Hussman Total Return
6)  Doubeline Core Fixed Income
7)  FPA Crescent

Thanks in advance

How is he currently invested?  Perhaps it would be best for him to ease into a PP with a bit of money and leave everything else alone until he is more comfortable with the approach.  Too many changes all at once is harder to get ones head around.

Wellesley is certainly a lot easier to explain than the PP.

And a nice low expense ratio at 0.31% (0.21% Admiral). Wellington 0.34 (0.23 admiral). $50K minimum now for Admiral shares...
Though Hussman Total Return isn't too bad either at 0.73%.
