Has anyone been watching this new series of FX? Only two episodes, but very good.
It's loosely based on the 1996 Coen brother's movie (very loosely). Stars Billy Bob Thornton, who's really good in it.

I didn't realize it had started. I saw the ads last month and was considering watching it. I'm a fan of the movie and a friend of mine had a bit part in it!

If you check it out, let me know what you think. What part did your friend have?

She was the girl who was shot by the bad guy after her car flipped upside down. She had been a caterer for the film's cast & crew and the director put her in there on a whim. (Michelle LeDoux)

AdamA, did you spot the nice references to The Big Lebowski and No Country for Old Men?

I think it was episode 1 that showed a special on White Russians, the Dude's drink of choice.
The pig's blood IN 3 was from Chigurh's (spelling?) butcher shop.
There are also a lot of fish in this show. I didn't notice anything beyond the poster in the basement at first, but once it was pointed out to me...fish everywhere!

Also, apparently the deaf man, Mr Wrench, says some hilarious things with his hands that are not translated by Mr Numbers. For example, he tells Lester,

There are some great quotes in that show every episode. I just watched the most recent one.
"There are no saints in the animal kingdom. Only breakfast and dinner."
"Do I look like I want a pink police scanner?"
"Only a fool thinks he can solve the world's problems."

I will wait until there are more episodes out there and I can watch them back to back.

I think it's going to be a 10 episode miniseries, so you shouldn't have to wait much longer.

They should give that reporter a role on the show.
