Anyone watch this new HBO show?

It's great.  "Gritty," I think would be the appropriate descriptive term.

Great series.  For those of you who don't have HBO, you need to get this series as soon as it's available through Netflix, on DVD, etc.

I personally can't live without it because besides live sporting events, their series are the ONLY thing on tv that I watch.

I'm too cheap for HBO, so hopefully it'll make it's way onto Netflix someday.  Meanwhile, I'm still working my way through the Breaking Bad series.
You better not delay or you'll still be watching Breaking Bad when Better Call Saul is on:

True Detective was great, and Fargo was even better. Television miniseries quality is very good lately. Billy Bob Thornton was interviewed recently by Charlie Rose, and he mentioned that funding for independent films is difficult to come by these days and that long-form television storytelling was an attractive alternative right now, even for big names in Hollywood.

I'm lovin' these miniseries, too, though I haven't seen True Detective yet. No extra seasons of filler to sell ads. Tell the story in 8-12 shows. I hope they keep it up, because this is like a new Golden Age of television after years of drought caused by so-called reality tv.

The latest season of Louie has gotten kind of dark, but it's still better than most movies I've seen lately.
