Newbie Question: Canadian "Call of the Wild" Gold Coins

Hello All. I am new to PP and have a question about physical gold. I noticed that the Canadian Mint is issuing its "Call of the Wild" Growling Cougar 1 oz 99.999% gold bullion coin next week, and its premium (as sold by gainesville ) is just slightly higher ($2-6 more) than that of a Maple Leaf, and much lower than say, an American buffalo. If I have the rest of my gold in maple leafs, buffaloes, harmonics, and kangaroos, might I also hold a light percentage of my gold in Cougars (or other annual-design mint bullion such as lunar coins, if I happened to find them with a fairly low premium)? I assume these would not be nearly as easy to authenticate if/when I would want to sell them in the future, but they seem like an attractive coin that might also have some future numismatic value. I'm in the US, not buying in an IRA. Thoughts?
