Well for starters, he drove away some of the best posters.dragoncar wrote:What did he did?Pointedstick wrote:He was perma-banned.dragoncar wrote: What ever happened to that guy?
Indeed. He was too often strident, to the point of being obnoxious, in his commentary. I am pretty sure he was given multiple warnings.Pointedstick wrote:Well for starters, he drove away some of the best posters.dragoncar wrote:What did he did?Pointedstick wrote: He was perma-banned.![]()
Yes, including several temporary week-long bans after particularly jerky conduct. He never took the hint.Ad Orientem wrote:Indeed. Although I almost never agreed with him, I liked having him around. But I never had to engage with him in a protracted argument.Pointedstick wrote:Yes, including several temporary week-long bans after particularly jerky conduct. Using Google to find facts to bitchslap your opponents with is not being a walking encyclopedia.moda0306 wrote: Gumby is this forum's single greatest loss IMO. Just a walking encyclopedia of scary-good arguments and analysis.
Well, he was lacking in mirror neurons. That's what happens when you take a Ayn Randian Objectivist and turn them into an Capitalist Anarchist with a heaping dose of Mensa Engineering all over. Ught. Try to imagine a completely emotionless and struggleless Spock and that's KShartle! I don't actually believe anyone is that emotionally stunted offline for real, though. He was just fucking with us in that autistic OCD way.Pointedstick wrote: Yes, including several temporary week-long bans after particularly jerky conduct. He never took the hint.
I would think so. But in KS's case I doubt he would be able to disguise his true identity for long. If he couldn't curb his behavior under his own name I am somewhat skeptical that he would be able to avoid doing so under a new name.Desert wrote: Hey, dumb question, since I haven't managed to get myself banned from a message board (yet): Can't one just get a new email address, choose a new username and join back up?
I resemble that remark!MachineGhost wrote:Well, he was lacking in mirror neurons.
