my wife and i have a passion for photography. we went to an old estate in long island today to shoot the grounds.
taking a break from shooting macro for a change and shooting the grounds instead.

Nice photos, but the guy in the in the 4th one isn't exactly what I would call photogenic.

Beautiful.
What camera do you use? I also love photography but am an amateur regarding the technology and have been considering an upgrade. Any recommendations? What's the best bang for the buck?
As an aside, you can insert "width=xx" (replace the XX with the number of pixels) within the img tag on this forum to easily resize images down to something more manageable. More info here:

i use a nikon d800 with a nikon 24-120mm lens. my wife uses a nikon d7000 with an 18-300mm lens.
most of the time we do street photography or macro photography since my wife likes flowers and i like things that crawl , fly or sting.
once in a while we will do some landscape.
next weekend we are headed to some nasty parts of brooklyn to shoot some street art on the buildings .
but the look we get is in the processing we do .
we shoot very flat and blan in camera and season to taste later on.
