I don't think they will be able to ban abortion or jail homosexuals but is there anything in the constitution guaranteeing a right to eat Sausage or McRibs? And for that matter, for women to dress the way they want?

ha! That was the first article I read this morning. I got a free year of Washington Post when I bought my most recent Kindle.

Anyway, regarding the article, I'd be pissed off, too, if I had to deal with a 6:00am call to prayer, no matter what religion was responsible.

How does someone dressed like that eat a Big Mac, or for that matter, anything in public?  Kind of kidding, but kind of serious too.  Do Muslim women eat in public establishments?  If so, how?

Considering that the city is surrounded by "Detoilet", I doubt this will make things much worse.

Even though I also agree with the 6 AM call to prayer being obnoxious.

Well, in Muslim countries they'll sit behind a screen with their families, pull back their veil (just the top part that covers their faces) and eat away. At least that is how it was done when I was in Saudi Arabia back in 1993. Even though the woman pictured is fully covered, she still looks well fed. I do worry about her vitamin D levels though.

Yeah, climactic adaptations really become noticeable when someone goes to a climate that their people historically never lived in. My wife is super light-skinned and has to put on sunscreen every day in the summer here in New Mexico, while I'm a swarthy olive-skinned Jew with darker skin who's safe with just a hat and long sleeves. I've heard that black people who move to Northern Europe can get Vitamin D deficiency really easily. Interesting stuff.

Anyone surprised this is happening right next to that grand epic failure of liberal-democratic-socialism, aka Detroit?

You just better hope they're all apostate Muslims!

Now the serious question is, what is the end game?  Are they going to assimilate and diffuse as their forefather immigrants did?  Or are they going to become increasing radicalized since their religion is barbaric at heart?  They already treat their women like shit.
