It seems that the Great Recession and the Obama administration together may have done something useful.

Not only is there now a net migration of Mexicans away from the U.S., but the ones who are coming into the US are older and better educated.

The report cites the poor job market and increased immigration border enforcement as factors.

Wonder what trump would have to say about that.

Probably nothing, because it's certain that he already knows it. He keeps misleadingly harping on it because it's a major fear of the people whose support he's trying to attract, and in the event that it does become widely known in that circle, there's an easy transition to other immigration issues, like refugees, the H1B program, student visa abuse, etc.

And how many of those were criminals?  Not holding my breath.  That's the real problem besides the baby magnet welfare leeches.

Nonsense.

"Pew has been reporting on a number of
occasions that in light of the recession a number
of illegal immigrants from Mexico returned home.
But guess what? As we reported several months
ago, according to the most up-to-date census data,
based on the Current Population Survey (CPS),
there has been a massive spike in net migration
from Mexico." It's actually up and everybody
knows this.
