I have what should be an 1881 Morgan silver dollar but it has a gold color.

Is it a fake?

When you say gold color, do you mean it has a gold patina? If so, this is likely tarnish or what numismatists refer to as "toning". Toning on Morgans is very common due to the sulfur content of the bags many of them were stored in in mint vaults for many years. Additionally, the 1881-p is a very common date and is thus not generally worth counterfeiting.

Next question: I have 7 Eisenhower silver dollars dated 1971 and 1972. Should I bring them to the bank for 7 paper dollars? I could then buy 4 canisters of Pringles.

There is no 'S' mint mark anywhere on the front of any Ike dollar.

Ok so that means they are not one of the 40% silver version. In that case, I would just hang on to them and then when you are bored one day check them closely to see if they one of the many Ike "varieties". This link should be a good start http://eisenhowerdollarguide.com/1972-e ... varieties/
