Sugru

Post by dualstow »

Has anyone used sugru to seal between tub and tile instead of traditional caulk? Since we just had the bathroom completely rebuilt, I got the contractor to caulk and he did it completely. However, whether because of the movement of the earth or changes in temperature or whatever, the sealant keeps cracking. We've already had him redo it once, and I suspect I need a stronger material.

I've seen some examples of sugru usage near the tub and even on the tub floor to cover a hole, but not exactly what I plan to use it for. I suppose it depends on what the tub is made of?

I originally read this subject title and thought it was another chemical alternative to sugar.

Chief: it's cracking across the middle but not pulling loose.

Greg: poor alternative to sugar. You might get lockjaw. :-)

My dad always said that oatmeal sticks to your ribs. This stuff certainly would do that.
