For what it is worth I thought the first blog post was excellent as well as the many comments in response.

Yes, it was very good as far as parroting the status quo goes.  It seems clear that Bernanke is stuck in theory rather than the real world.  But thats probably true of 99% of all academics.  On the other hand, at least he doesn't uphold the Wizard of Oz myth.
