AgAuMoney still posts occasionally on Seeking Alpha under the same moniker.

I'll add melveyr to the list. Wisest young wooper-snapper I've ever not met.

But yeah I'd love to have all these folks back.

moda,

Your Thomas Paine quote is terrific.

When I find who uses the Mark Twain quote< I send along equal praise.  After 7 months, it's time.

Thanks bedraggled!  I love T Paine. He had some great ideas and challenged a lot of pretty entrenched thought. Not saying his ideas on property, religion and government were perfect, but he definitely made some great arguments.

Pug, you hit a lot of good ones. I just really found melveyr to be a very smart dude for his age.

Gumby is this forum's single greatest loss IMO. Just a walking encyclopedia of scary-good arguments and analysis.

I think at least some of them were driven off by the "shart".  I hope they'll turn back up soon...

As for the list above, I enjoyed many of their posts from shart to finish.

"The shart."

Bahaha.

He was perma-banned.

Well for starters, he drove away some of the best posters. ::)

Indeed. He was too often strident, to the point of being obnoxious, in his commentary. I am pretty sure he was given multiple warnings.

Yes, including several temporary week-long bans after particularly jerky conduct. He never took the hint.

I always liked his posts. I thought he had died during his sleep experiment.

Although I almost never agreed with him, I liked having him around.  But I never had to engage with him in a protracted argument.

Using Google to find facts to bitchslap your opponents with is not being a walking encyclopedia. ;)  Just sayin'...

But I'm pretty amazed how lazy people are, especially those arguing a point.  Is it just human nature to prefer to be ignorant?

Well, he was lacking in mirror neurons.  That's what happens when you take a Ayn Randian Objectivist and turn them into an Capitalist Anarchist with a heaping dose of Mensa Engineering all over.  Ught.  Try to imagine a completely emotionless and struggleless Spock and that's KShartle!  I don't actually believe anyone is that emotionally stunted offline for real, though.  He was just fucking with us in that autistic OCD way.

I would think so. But in KS's case I doubt he would be able to disguise his true identity for long. If he couldn't curb his behavior under his own name I am somewhat skeptical that he would be able to avoid doing so under a new name.

I resemble that remark!
