The World's Largest Consumer of Anti-Depressants

Post by MachineGhost »

Surprise, its not the USA, its France.  Appearances can be deceiving.

All that socialism (all 150+ years of it) is literally killing the country.  Flat growth, chronic deficits, double-digit unemployment, coddled civil servants that make up 25% of the labor force, public spending at 56% of GDP, and any talk of common sense reform sends protestors and strikers to the streets.

Every option to legally dismiss an employee is convoluted and expensive, requires protracted negotiation with the employee's lawyer and paying several months or years of severance pay.

It's also criminal to just say "fuck it all" and pack up and leave.

Be glad you are not in France.
