fall foliage at greenwood cemetery brooklyn

went to greenwood cemetery in brooklyn  today . the fall foliage and the grounds are perfect together . greenwood is one of the most famous cemetery's in the country .

they run trolly tours  inside .


we took so many today so i will post them as i process them .

Magnificent photography. Fall is the only thing I miss from the Northeast. And the choice of location helps. Old and stately cemeteries can be a great place to take a walk and just enjoy the serenity.

we find winter is really great too  . the snow makes for awesome possibility's in creativity .

one thing  nice about being newly retired is my wife and i shoot somewhere different almost every day .

Where you living now?  Didn't you just move recently?

we live in bayside,  queens in nyc  .  we did have a 2nd home in the pocono's in PA .  but sold it 3 years ago when we didn't want to retire there

Nice shots. I love fall foliage but I find myself drawn more to the architecture here.

Mom spends a good deal of the year there. I lost my dad last March and I need to be a closer to family.

Gorgeous photos, Mathjak.  The season is peaking right now in the NYC area.

Ad:  good luck with your move and congrats on your decision.  Being near family can be a mixed blessing though.  I'm glad I went that route, but it did put me in the difficult position of being the most relied on and least appreciated sibling.  The ones who live farther away benefit from the "absence makes the heart grow fonder" effect.

we were at ny botanical gardens at 7 am this morning . the colors were amazing . we just got in so i have to work on them .

it was far more colorful then we expected .
