Thankful

Post by Greg »

I was reading stuff in the news today about race issues and what seemed to be narrow views on life and how things work. I wanted to say that I'm very thankful to have this website here as an amazing outlet where people can congregate, share a bunch on information, and learn from one another. I truly appreciate all of you and the civility that we have here.

Being able to disagree without dehumanizing people we disagree with is IMHO a sign of civilization and a cause for hope.

I was making a comment about a Dallas Cowboys story the other day on another site, and one reply said that I was "a worthless person."

A "worthless person" because of a disagreement over football.  Incredible!

Jockheads are all fat, ugly and stupid.  Do you feel better?

That is quite sad what language can be twisted into. From a song I like "words can build us up, words can break us down". It very much rings true.
