Good stuff, but that article was published 11 years ago. Handgun ammunition technology has come a long way in that time. Better powders and better bullets. My sense is that modern 9mm is much more deadly than yesteryear's and modern .380 approaches what 9mm used to do. Of course this makes modern .45 equally superior, but if what you're looking for is "enough," more and more cartridges are going to meet it today.
