Will The Fed Raise Rates Tomorrow?

Post by Reub »

I don't know how to start a poll on here so just shout it out. Yes or no? Will the Fed raise rates tomorrow?

Vote early and often.

(I'll say no.)

I was just listening to Fox Business and the talking heads are expecting a .25% raise.

But they said to only expect the raise to effect debt, not savings. In other words, if you have an ARM or you roll over your credit card balance, expect to pay more but if you are a saver don't expect to get more.

Sounds about right to me.

That or a very small raise.  Can they do 0.1% or do they only operate on .25% increments?

I think they almost have to raise as much as they've talked up the "improving economy." I'll say up .25% but I agree with Desert that it's likely short lived.

I think they will raise rates slightly this month and then proceed to crap their pants in the first quarter as the economy stalls.
