Funding Perth Mint trades
After several weeks of processing a new account at the Perth Mint (had to renew passports for identification), I was all ready go... and immediately got stuck on funding. The Mint provides a US ABA number and account number that you have to transfer your deposit into. You have to initiate this from your bank; you can't "pull" the money from the Mint side like you can with, say, Fidelity. All well and good from a security perspective, but how do people do this practically? I have checked all my cash account institutions, and none of them will let me transfer to an account I don't own. Chase customer service suggested QuickPay (ha) or wire ($30 per transfer).

I think wire is the way to go.

Thank you for weighing in. It looks like Fidelity makes it pretty easy for a modest $10.
