ACE Inhibitors and CV

Has anyone been looking into the theory about patients who take ACE inhibitors having worse outcomes due to the way the drug works on cells? I don’t have a link off hand. My diabetic wife takes Lisinopril for healthier kidneys. I’m in the info gathering phase before I take on the thankless task of suggesting that she should ignore her doctor’s advice for a while.

There are some stories in the press about Losartan (an ARB) as a therapy. I take it,

My aquarium chemicals arrived from Amazon. I had them deliver to basement instead of porch (I ordered 37 55gal drums). Wiped each one down with a Chlorox wipe. ............ Crap, I forgot to order a drum bung remover. I guess I'll have to wait a bit. Hope they are not sold out. Perhaps I can get drum bung removers written into the emergency aid bill before Trump signs.
