fyi - The closed end fund CEF (closed end fund named Central Fund of Canada) is trading at a 1+% discount to NAV
I've never used a precious metal closed end fund. The impression that I get is that is quite rare for such a fund to trade at a discount to NAV.
fund's NAV page http://www.centralfund.com/Nav%20Form.htm
CEF Conect page http://www.cefconnect.com/Details/Summa ... ticker=CEF
Google doc which comparing price to NAV given the near real time 24 hr gold & silver prices https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreads ... iOsH#gid=1
The fund holds about 45.4 silver ounces per each 1.0 gold ounces. The CEF's components by value are currently 48.3% gold, 50.2% silver, 1.5% cash.
If one bought this fund, they could assume half its value is in the PP (the gold) & half the VP (the silver).
Anyone have experience owning this closed end fund CEF?
