Another fun question: is Trump taking HCQ/DOX or AZ?
I finally got around to reading the article that Libertarian666 posted some time back. It was based on a review published in the American Journal of Epidemiology, which has an impact factor of 3.7. That's on the low side, but high enough to indicate that it's a respectable journal and probably well read within that field.
The review, to me, makes a pretty compelling case that early use of the combo in newly diagnosed, high risk patients could potentially have a big impact. True, no randomized controlled trials, but there are multiple controlled nonrandomized trials all independently showing such a large effect that the lack of randomization couldn't explain it.
If this review's take is correct, those FDA actions and perhaps also the slanted reporting could be regarded as criminal.
And you can only imagine my shock that the FDA and the Marxist mainstream media could possibly mislead us!
I think he quit taking it but maybe now he wished he hadn't.
He's 74 and I'm 71 so it'll be interesting to see how it goes for him as I'm getting ready to do some non-social distancing (like flying) things in the next couple of weeks.
I read a story on ZH about this, and all I could think was Joe Piscopo?!?!?
-----------------
Officials in Minnesota are urging anybody who attended events with the president to get tested. But one man who spoke with the AP about a Trump fundraiser in Bedminster on Thursday - where Trump may have attended despite knowing that one of his closest aides had tested positive - said that Trump kept his distance from guests at the event, and that social distancing rules were largely enforced.
"It was mostly outside," said comedian Joe Piscopo.
As for Trump's condition, Piscopo said: He added, "I’ve never seen him more on top of his game, warm, funny, vulnerable."

I once had a celebrity encounter with Joe Piscopo when I almost hit him with my car in Hollywood. We were on a cross-country trip to California and after setting up the pop-up camper near DisneyLand we decided to take a drive to Hollywood to see if we could spot some famous people. No sooner had we gotten there than he stepped right in front of our car crossing the street and we recognized him immediately (I think he was still on SNL then). We resolved to return again hoping to see other celebrities but unfortunately he was the only one.

At first thought the only celebrity (non-sports) encounter I can think of is Connie Frances.
My family was at Atlantic City. I could not have been more than 10 years old. All of a sudden I saw her walking towards us. I was the only one of the four of us who noticed her. Then my sister and mother, who were big fans of hers, had their picture take with her.

It’s super rare for a president to spend the night at the hospital. I theorize he’s planning that he might need to be intubated and doesn’t want the public to find out if he does, unless he dies from it. It’s possible he’ll be intubated and be fine after. The greatest extubation in the history of modern healthcare, a really terrific extubation.
Too bad it’s Friday, time to buy SPY puts because if he does get intubated and/or we don’t see him for a few days, I see a 10% to 20% market crash next week.
If he is intubated he will have to turn over the presidency to Pence on a temporary basis.

So wonderful that the president is able to get such fast and comprehensive treatment and testing. In my case it's 3-5 business days to get test results back which I have to pay for. Europe of course is already on free 15 minute testing...tell me again how the United States is so great???
Hopefully cases don't spike this winter and overwhelm hospital capacity . After all, that was the main reason for using caution to begin with, ...to make sure that hospitals had resources...And were I to get really sick I wonder if any of that cocktail of drugs he immediately got would be available to me.
A man who does this with guests is either stupid or completely reckless. No sympathy for what he might have to endure.

I could be completely wrong on this due to memory, But I think it was will Durant in the lessons of history discussing plagues and pandemics who said no matter who you are or what you think they just don’t care. That is a paraphrase.

Yes. The virus does not care if you are a Democrat or a Republican.

Maybe that's the problem with a populist president who sinks to the level of the Jerry Springer show when it comes to his political leadership. Good leaders inspire people to listen. Tough times becomes unifying moments not divisive.
