I play guitar, shoot trap, and am a bit of a grill and beer snob... I also love playing volleyball and softball.

Does debating economics/politics count as a hobby?

Have you read "Last Flag Down"? It's about the CSS Shenandoah, which circumnavigated the globe, crossing the equator four time. She fired the last shot of the Civil War. It's a fascinating read.

Cruising is my game. Tricks are for kids.

It's like comparing a crotch rocket motorcyclist to a Harley rider.

When I ride my scooter, I like a smooth sidewalk, a nice breeze and interesting sights to see.

It's a blast. You're moving at just the right speed to see the world without getting bored.

As far as my ride goes, to me the Oxelo Town 7 XL susp (pictured below) is really the gold standard in adult scooters. It has a suspension system, which makes all the difference compared to other makes and models.

The problem is that Oxelo scooters are not available in the U.S., and thus if you want want one you must delve into the shady underworld of scooter bootleggers (in the joint they're known as "scootleggers"). This is not something that I would recommend most people do because it requires dealing with some very rough people, but I did it just because I had to have one.

It's a really nice ride.
